About

Mind over matter was born out of healing and the belief that if we are willing to change, we can heal our minds, bodies, and souls. Look for a moment in your life and consider the things you want to change. I have a journal in which I write about the deeper aspects of myself, but I recommend that anyone keep a daily or weekly diary in which they can ask themselves questions about their mind over matter and take small steps toward change.

If you are willing to put in the mental effort, anything is possible to heal. From relationships to coworkers and work life, everything in our lives, both personally and professionally, can be changed by looking at our own mindset. When we are willing to change, by removing old habits, patterns, beliefs, and the way we think, we will either change and see people leave our lives because we have improved, or some will stay because they want to be a part of the journey as well.

Be critical in your own journal; this blog and social media pages are intended to make you think, not how to think, but to question yourself on a daily basis: what are you attracting into your life, negative and positive?

What do you believe about yourself and others?

What do you want to change about yourself?

I can not change anyone else, but by improving myself, I have noticed that positive changes have long-term effects when practiced on a daily basis and supported by a loving network of family, friends, and coworkers.

Mind over matter is about mental health issues; I, for one, was diagnosed with bipolar mania and have had to confront the question of whether I am more elevated and excitable than most people. Should I avoid this giddiness, or should I embrace who I am, have loving support, and change the stigma because one in every four people has some form of mental health condition, and many go their entire lives without being diagnosed? You may feel isolated, even lonely, in your position, or you may believe you have unsupportive friends and need to change your childhood beliefs.

I have learned that anything that irritates me is a reflection of myself, and in some ways, this blog and my posts are here to empower myself rather than blame this useless form of energy. Blaming only gives away our power; keep it, as I have learned to do over the years, even when I could not see a way out of some situations.

I dedicate this blog and my posts to anyone who is suffering in silence, to anyone who believes they are not worthy or good enough, even if they do not see any way out. I believe in never giving up or giving in. Never give up on yourself, and when you see things aligning and clearing for you, and you notice that these changes begin to improve yourself and the life you want to live, you are living your soul purpose.

Personal empowerment and a true story for those willing to have the eyes to see, ears to listen, and heart to believe, the sense to touch and be touched, and feel what is real and what is not, mixed with poetry and positive encouragement. This blog and my posts are designed to attract love, abundance, and radiance, to glow in the midst of some dark turbulent times, and how to shine.

Remember, you are unique and amazing!
